Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at T&R Market. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing all varieties and cuts of meat to meet the high standards of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend, slice, weigh, pack, and price product
  • Perform general stocking duties, including rotating product and removing expired items
  • Ensure shelves and displays are clean and neat
  • Operate tools and equipment safely
  • Greet and interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information
  • Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
  • Function as a team member and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues
  • Adhere to daily work schedule and work weekends, any shift, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
  • Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting, and moving, lifting, and carrying a minimum of 110lbs
  • Walking, standing, climbing ladders, and being on feet for the entire shift
  • Pushing/pulling a heavily loaded pallet with a manual pallet jack and a loaded stock cart
  • Demonstrating above-average manual dexterity and operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts and balers
  • Ability to work an entire shift in a refrigerated environment
Education and Experience

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, and previous industry experience is also preferred. A New Mexico Food Handlers Permit is required, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
