Radiographer I

About the Role:

Nemours is seeking a skilled Radiographer I to join our team in Lakeland, Florida.

This position involves performing x-ray procedures under the direction of a physician, with established methods and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, proper operation of all general diagnostic equipment, and ensuring the accurate preparation of patients for procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform x-ray procedures under the direction of a physician
• Responsible for patient care and proper operation of diagnostic equipment
• Accurate preparation of patients for procedures
• Participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement
• Responsible for patient/caregiver interactions and provides accurate preparation instructions
• Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging protocols, radiation safety, and radiology equipment
• Responsible for patient identification, proper identification of images, and documentation
• Operates hospital computer system for patient data entry and retrieval

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree required
• State of Florida Radiology Technologist License required
• ARRT registration required
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required
