Job Summary:
The Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing the academic, clinical, and educational programs of the Gynecologic Oncology Faculty within the Department. As the chief of the Gynecologic Oncology service, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and strengthening the division's clinical and academic operations, including research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a multi-year plan that aligns with the Departmental, College of Medicine, and Medical Center's strategic vision, goals, and directives.
- Oversee the assignments and day-to-day workflows of the Gynecologic Oncology Division's clinical service lines.
- Ensure customer service, patient care, and patient quality and safety initiatives are met.
- Ensure coverage for all Division clinical activities at all clinical sites, including call and emergency coverage.
- Ensure Division faculty distribution of clinical workload is in accordance with their designated clinical effort expectations.
- Ensure division faculty comply with all Department/Institutional regulatory and policy requirements.
- Promote faculty development through timely, consistent, and frequent customized plans and reviews, and appropriately manage performance issues.
- Promote professionalism within the Division.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncology.
- NY State Medical License.
- Hands-on administrative experience, having held leadership position(s) in a similar academic medical center setting.
- A successful record of accomplishments in clinical practice and academics for these initiatives.
- Strong leadership traits, including accountability and critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate and solve complex problems using focused communication skills.
- Excellent clinical skills, with a strong ability to provide clinical care to patients for both surgical cases and chemotherapy management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and manage the daily challenges of a large, distributed clinical Division.
- Financial/business acumen, with the ability to understand and manage the Division's budget and resources.
- Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to understand and interpret data to inform decision-making.
- Ability to lead change and implement new initiatives.
- Commitment to social justice and improving health outcomes for underserved communities.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range of $400,000-$500,000.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including LTD, STD, paid malpractice, paid CME, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) and 457.
