Job Summary:

The Director of Critical Care at Kingman Regional Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Staff Management: Lead and direct staff involved in the provision of patient care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Interview and hire staff for the ICU, fostering an environment that promotes recruitment, retention, and employee recognition.
  • Employee Development: Perform employee rounding to ensure adequate oversight and promote employee satisfaction, providing coaching and support to individual team members to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Performance Management: Manage staff performance through continuing education, effective delegation, and ongoing coaching, ensuring that all employees meet the expectations of the role.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the ICU is compliant with all relevant regulatory bodies and organizational standards, conducting regular chart reviews and environmental rounds to identify areas for improvement.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of patient care, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives to inform future improvements.
  • Fiscal Management: Develop and manage the fiscal plan for the ICU, ensuring that all expenses are aligned with the organization's budget and strategic goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current and valid Arizona RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification are required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting and a minimum of 1 year of clinical leadership experience in a patient care setting are required for this role.
