Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at North Austin Medical Center TX in a contract position on the NICU/PEDI unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients in the NICU/PEDI unit.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve lung function.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Current RRT certification and ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a NICU/PEDI unit.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ICU, NICU, and PICU patients.
  • Knowledge of ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
