Key Responsibilities- Update and maintain accurate patient medical information in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures, and assist healthcare providers as needed.
- Administer injections, change dressings, and remove sutures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Schedule referrals to other healthcare providers for further testing and treatment.
- Communicate lab and pathology results to patients via phone or other methods.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and in-services to stay up-to-date on best practices and new procedures.
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and have a caring and friendly personality. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
