Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Cottage Grove Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitative care to patients, assisting them in regaining their functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, following treatment plans prescribed by Occupational Therapists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and other required paperwork.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Assist in training and educating patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining equipment, and organizing treatment areas.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
