Job Summary

The Environmental Services Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in all designated areas of our facilities. This includes cleaning various surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, and performing deep cleaning tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean various surfaces such as furniture, floors, windows, and decor using appropriate methods and products.
    • Ensure a safe work environment by implementing necessary precautions (e.g., signage for wet floors, proper labeling of SDS).
  • Trash and Recycling
    • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Deep Cleaning
    • Perform deep cleaning of rooms when required.
  • Supply Management
    • Restock custodial and office supplies.
  • Inspections and Reporting
    • Inspect rooms for damages or maintenance needs and promptly report any safety concerns to facilities management.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Maintain and clean custodial equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.
  • Pre-Admission and Discharge Preparation
    • Help prepare rooms for new admissions and discharges.
  • Laundry and Storage
    • Launder linens as needed.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of products following safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Emergency Response
    • Respond to urgent cleaning situations such as spills or broken glass.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum one (1) year of experience in environmental services.
  • License
    • Valid driver's license.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.24-$21.00 per hour, varying based on education and experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life insurance, voluntary STD/LTD, flexible spending accounts, 401k, and PTO/sick leave.
