Diesel Truck Mechanic Job Description

At Parsec, we're seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance functions and adjustments on diesel and hostler equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow a checklist of inspection procedures to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and identify areas for improvement
  • Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of hostlers, diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment
  • Must have your own tools (Heavy Duty tools are supplied)
  • Cummins Insight, Cummins diesel engines and D.E.F. systems are helpful, but we provide training

Requirements:
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs

  • Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry
  • Must have your own tools (Heavy Duty tools are supplied)
  • Experience with Cummins Insight, Cummins diesel engines and D.E.F. systems are helpful, but we provide training
