**Job Summary:**
The Transfer Station Laborer is a vital member of our team at Casella Waste Systems, responsible for performing general labor duties at a transfer station. This role involves a range of tasks, including yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, and general office maintenance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist customers with unloading their trash, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Inspect loads for unacceptable materials to guarantee safety for customers and colleagues.
- Pull recyclable material to be brought to the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and properly handled.
- Maintain the facility's cleanliness and organization by sweeping floors, cleaning, and picking up in and around solid waste stations and facilities.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Dedication to safety and a proven commitment to work.
