About the Position:

  • Provide tailored support to students with IEPs, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and life skills development;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement integrated curriculum that caters to individual student needs;
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and support;
  • Stay updated on best practices in special education and adapt your approach accordingly;
  • Demonstrate a solutions-focused mindset and flexibility when faced with challenges;
  • Promote a culture of empathy, respect, and inclusivity within the classroom and beyond;
  • Foster a growth mindset among students, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning journey;
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive IEP process, ensuring that every student receives personalized support and attention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a Master's degree preferred;
  • PA Instructional I PK-4 and SPED certification, or equivalent, with a commitment to obtaining additional certifications;
  • Experience working with students with autism, life skills, or functional task instruction;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely;
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA;
  • A willingness to collaborate, innovate, and continuously improve your practice.
