Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. You will also supervise, teach, and delegate to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Supervise, teach, and delegate to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
