Job Title: Parts Specialist

Job Overview

The Parts Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering and service teams. This position involves managing customer inquiries via calls and emails, reviewing technical documentation, and procuring necessary components for both customers and service technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering schematics and procedural manuals
- Analyze technical blueprints to identify and order parts
- Provide pricing estimates and credit terms, and prepare sales agreements for orders
- Conduct research to assist service, manufacturing, and purchasing departments in identifying obsolete or unknown components, ensuring customer needs are met
- Estimate delivery timelines based on production and delivery schedules; address and resolve customer delivery issues
- Input new customer information and sales data into the database
- Monitor and manage back orders, keeping relevant parties informed
- Respond to internal requests for information from departments such as engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing
- Address billing or service complaints, directing unresolved issues to the appropriate departments for further investigation
- Maintain communication with customers while collaborating with engineering teams
Required Skills:
  • Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Experience in creating and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to multitask
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.
Work Environment

The role is fully on-site and involves collaboration with a small team. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
