Job Summary

The Truck Driver - Material Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering materials to customer job sites, operating forklifts, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. This role requires a valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load Building and Delivery: Build loads for delivery and unload freight, including lumber and building supplies.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, with proper training and certification.
  • Warehouse and Yard Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse.
  • Communication and Time Management: Communicate delays or discrepancies with management and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Age Requirement: Be at least 21 years old.
  • Language Skills: Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
  • Driving Skills: Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
  • Physical Qualifications: Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
