Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse Lead, you will provide leadership to clinical LPNs and support providers in delivering timely, quality patient healthcare services in a clinic environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient care support and assisting providers as instructed by the physician, provider, or RN
  • Administering therapies, including medications, and scheduling follow-up visits or other support unique to a specialty provider
  • Collaborating with providers and teams on improving and managing quality goals
  • Performing rooming, managing patient flow, and obtaining adequate patient medical information/data
  • Accurately measuring patients' vital signs and recording in medical records
  • Coordinating communication of medical information and confirming with patients when necessary
  • Assisting patients with preparation for physician exams, including providing psycho-emotional support
  • Assisting with patient positioning and transferring patients as necessary
  • Providing outbound calls to patients to follow up as directed
  • Accurately and completely charting information in patient medical records
  • Supervising, coaching, and training LPN staff members in partnership with clinic leadership
Requirements
  • Associate's or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing-approved LPN program
  • 2 to 5 years of clinic LPN experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 0 to 2 years of working with an electronic medical records program
Licenses/Certifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - MN Board of Nursing required
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if working in Wisconsin or interacting with Wisconsin patients by phone
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 30 Days
