Position Responsibilities:

We are looking for an entry-level attorney who is eager to learn and adapt to the dynamic landscape of the insurance and securities sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with evolving business models influenced by technological advancements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research and investigations related to regulatory compliance
  • Providing legal advice to agency personnel on administrative issues
  • Drafting proposed legislation and legal opinions
  • Assisting senior attorneys in complex litigation cases
  • Preparing legal documents, including pleadings and motions
  • Representing the agency in administrative hearings
  • Participating in appellate advocacy as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Montana or eligibility for admission within six months of hire
  • At least one year of legal experience

Preferred:

  • Three to five years of legal experience
  • Experience in the insurance or securities industries
  • Experience with state or federal regulatory agencies
