Job Summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to inmates, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive mental health services to inmates, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Conduct research and gather data to inform mental health services and improve outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
  • At least one year of experience in a correctional facility setting or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including inmates with complex mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities.
  • Experience with research and program evaluation.
