Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Assess, modify, and record process parameters at the beginning of each shift to ensure optimal pressures, speeds, temperatures, and overall extruder functionality.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections, weigh, and measure the film produced during the shift to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process variations and equipment performance issues. Employ strong problem-solving skills to address complications as they arise.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths to effectively maintain and clean machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with colleagues, shift supervisors, and other relevant personnel to address and resolve any equipment issues or malfunctions. Provide support as necessary and work collaboratively to ensure seamless operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of process parameters and any deviations to ensure consistent production quality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities. Effective time management and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Communication: Must be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively with other departments and supervisors.
  • Experience: Previous experience with extrusion machinery and process control is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certification: Ability to obtain a forklift license is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in reading measurements.
