Responsibilities

Refrigeration Start-up Technicians are responsible for the start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately. They assist with Energy Optimization (EO) projects and must have advanced knowledge of solid-state controls, oil systems safety controls, mechanical sub-cooling, and energy management systems. The ideal candidate should have a Journeyman level skillset, including construction experience in performing installation of refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or GED, coursework at an accredited vocational-technical or trade school, and 3+ years of experience in supermarket EMS systems. EMS Certification is preferred, and you should have 5+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration, especially with parallel rack systems. You will also need EPA I and II Certification, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record. Strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, management, and team members are essential.
