About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our Sales Tax Team at Walmart. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of transaction taxes charged to customers and members across our domestic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with sales tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze large volumes of data to identify areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure our organization remains compliant and competitive.
  • Leverage technology to streamline and automate tax calculations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced business environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
  • A curious and hardworking nature, with the ability to connect the dots and think critically.
  • Comfort working with large amounts of data and a strong analytical skillset.
  • An Ownership mindset, taking responsibility for their tasks and proactively seeking ways to improve.
