Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at ACL Digital. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating electrical drawing packages for various types of equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create electrical drawing packages from scratch and using customer standards and templates
  • Design control panel layouts with a focus on electrical safety and efficiency
  • Perform calculations for load, heat, and power, including transfer loads for transformers
  • Familiarize yourself with ARC Flash calculations and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with the software designer to understand hardware architecture and critical designs
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant controls hardware design experience
  • Strong experience designing control panel layouts with AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan
  • Prior experience leading small teams is a plus

Additional Details:

We are looking for a long-term strategic hire who can eventually join our staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in both AutoCAD Electrical and Eplan, and be able to design control panel layouts and electrical schematics from scratch without assistance. This is a 100% in-office position with no remote or hybrid options.
