About the Role:

At Valparaiso Senior Village, we are seeking a skilled Dietary Assistant to join our team. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting in the preparation and service of meals. You will work closely with our cooks to prepare and serve meals, make connections with residents, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:

Assist cooks in the preparation and service of meals
Make connections with residents and provide exceptional customer service
Follow procedures as outlined by state and federal regulations
Assist in cleaning resident eating areas, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
Report any issues or problems that may arise to the Dietary Manager
Attend in-services and other required meetings
Promote and exemplify the Valparaiso Senior Village mission and values at all times

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; no dietary experience required
Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
