Job Title: Intervention Navigator

At BUILD, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and innovative Intervention Navigator to join our team. As a key member of our Violence Prevention Villages (VPV) project, you will play a vital role in providing positive, proactive, and preventive upstream supports and services to youth PreK-8 and their households.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide support and services to youth and their families through the process of assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating options and services required to meet the client's service plan needs and goals.
  • Advocate, communicate, and navigate resources to promote equality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes, helping find services needed and monitor progress through the completion of service plans.
  • Connect clients with additional critical resources, such as mental health care, medical care, legal services, victim's rights and/or compensation, interpretation services, workforce development, and financial education.
  • Navigate the criminal justice system, including police departments, legal services, and the courts, providing emotional support and connecting clients with necessary resources.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of experience working with inner-city youth in a human service setting, trauma-informed care, social service setting, or related field.
  • Bilingual-English/Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • An automobile is required, along with current insurance and a valid driver's license.
  • Maintain respectful and appropriate relationships with program participants, all levels of agency staff, and the various publics of the agency, demonstrating sensitivity to all ethnic, racial, and economic backgrounds.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Must be passionate about youth development work.
