Core ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Specialist will:
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with the healthcare organization's established standards.
- Develop and oversee patient care plans, ensuring accurate monitoring and communication of patient conditions.
- Act as the primary coordinator among various healthcare disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing directives effectively.
- Evaluate and manage the discharge planning needs of patients in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire. Accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire. Accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Registered Nurse license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license prior to hire.
- Certification in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program is preferred.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
Experience in Labor and Delivery is highly desirable.
