Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in filling and preparing medication orders with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Perform hazardous and non-hazardous IV compounding with precision and attention to detail.
  • Function as a purchasing agent for medications and supplies, ensuring timely acquisition and preparation.
  • Responsible for the disposal of high-risk hazardous materials, adhering to EPA regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, including dosage forms, brand, and generic names.
Requirements:
  • National Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
  • Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of three years experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with previous sterile compounding experience preferred.
