Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will report to the Director of Nursing and be responsible for leading, guiding, and directing the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts. This includes ensuring compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts
  • Ensure compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations
  • Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care
  • Participate in staff mentorship, recruitment, new hire orientation, and recommend employee promotions, transfers, and terminations

Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is preferred
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care is preferred
  • One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred
