About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, we invite experienced and skilled professionals to join our team as an Advanced Imaging Specialist - Magnetic Resonance Technician at Memorial Hermann Health System in Bellaire, Texas.

Job Summary

This critical role involves performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create high-quality three-dimensional images of tissue, organs, and other body parts, which are used by radiologists to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and treat patients.

Responsibilities
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Procedures: Prepare patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for the MRI scanner, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of the scan.
  • Patient Data Entry: Enter and monitor patient data accurately and efficiently.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera. Assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR accreditation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management. Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency. Support department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • License/Certification: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required. Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), one of these certifications is required.
  • Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $83,900 - $123,600 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including dental, vision, employee assistance programs, 403(b) retirement plan, health care FSA, dependent care FSA, school loan reimbursement, and more.
