Exciting Opportunity for a Cytotechnologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cytotechnologist to join our team at LabCorp in Charleston, West Virginia. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the laboratory, evaluating gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for possible malignant or related abnormal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen and evaluate specimens using laboratory procedures and workload policies.
  • Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens and ensure proper documentation of workload recording.
  • Meet slide screening requirements and finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program.
  • ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required.
  • West Virginia state license Cytotechnologist license.
  • Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred.
