CNA 2 Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) at Providence Portland Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing care to our patients. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, as well as measure and record vital signs, output, and weights. You will also collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests, and assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices. This is a full-time day shift position with rotating weekends, offering a $4,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires.

Responsibilities
  • Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Coursework/Training Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course Or Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
