Job Description:



L3Harris is seeking a proactive and independently driven candidate with an active DoD Secret security clearance, ready to collaborate with our team in meeting our customers' requirements. This individual will need to have had a minimum of 8 years of experience in performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment. Our quality team collaborates effectively, providing mutual support and fostering a culture of innovation throughout our daily activities. Essential Functions:

  1. Perform Receiving Inspections on incoming hardware.
  2. Perform In-Process Inspections/Final Inspections.
  3. Learn/perform mechanical hardware inspection and perform complex inspection from ground module assemblies to large reflector assemblies.
  4. Capture and maintain configuration records.
  5. Operate using specs, drawings, and work instructions.
  6. Ensure manufacturing processes are accurately followed and properly documented.
  7. Identify problems or issues.
  8. Use knowledge and experience to provide resolve issues.
  9. Perform inspections utilizing electronic equipment and tools.
  10. Candidate must be self-starter and practice excellent customer service.
  11. Act as mentor to lower-level peers providing guidance on tasks.
  12. Ability to work overtime, including weekends, on short notice and for possible long durations to support contractual delivery schedules.
  13. Excellent Communication and People skills, both oral and written.
  14. Good computer skills.


Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Commute between L3Harris facilities on occasions

Ability to maintain DoD Secret security clearance

Multi-task and work independently and/or a team member.

Candidate must be self-starter and practice excellent customer service.

Experience with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
