Job Summary:
iLearn Schools is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students with special needs, working closely with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Responsibilities:

Assessment:
Establish and maintain a referral process to identify students who require occupational therapy services. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' functional performance, using standardized and non-standardized tools. Document and interpret assessment results to inform treatment plans.

Intervention:
Develop and implement individualized education plans to improve students' functional abilities. Adapt environments to promote accessibility and independence. Instruct students, families, and educational personnel on the safe use and care of adaptive equipment and devices. Provide training and support to parents, teachers, and other school personnel on areas related to students' therapeutic programs.

Consultation:
Manage intervention programs developed by occupational therapists, carried out by teachers, parents, and other school personnel. Provide medical information related to students' special needs to school personnel. Offer formal and informal in-service programs and resource materials to assist with problem-solving, program planning, and priority setting for children with special needs. Suggest modifications and procedures to eliminate architectural barriers and provide safe transportation for handicapped students.

Administration/Supervision:
Establish and maintain an appropriate system of documentation for student referrals, record-keeping, evaluation/reevaluation results, treatment progress, and recommendations. Attend and participate in meetings related to evaluation, placement, and programming for students. Evaluate the effectiveness of the occupational therapy program and revise as needed. Coordinate with teachers and other professional staff to provide occupational therapy services and schedule appointments.
