Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Machine Operator to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our metal fabrication equipment to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet order specifications.
- Set up tooling and machine parameters to optimize equipment performance.
- Monitor machinery during operations to identify any deviations from standards.
- Interpret production schedules and job orders to determine setup and product dimensions.
- Use overhead cranes to handle raw materials and load machines.
- Adjust machine controls and monitor indicators to regulate machine speeds.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Set precise points between rolls, guides, and stops based on required specifications.
- Train and guide others in roll changes, equipment operation, and material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to maximize efficiency and output.
- Prepare materials for shipment and verify that orders match delivery specifications.
- Safely lift and move materials, either manually or using overhead cranes.
- Follow and promote company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and determine when repairs are needed.
- Familiarity with machinery and tools, including their design, use, and maintenance.
- Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
- Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry for measurements and conversions.
- Ability to identify various material types such as aluminum, steel, and brass.
- Proficiency in measurement and fraction/decimal conversions.
- Understanding of safe lifting and rigging methods.
