Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Machine Operator to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our metal fabrication equipment to produce high-quality products.

• Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet order specifications.
• Set up tooling and machine parameters to optimize equipment performance.
• Monitor machinery during operations to identify any deviations from standards.
• Interpret production schedules and job orders to determine setup and product dimensions.
• Use overhead cranes to handle raw materials and load machines.
• Adjust machine controls and monitor indicators to regulate machine speeds.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set precise points between rolls, guides, and stops based on required specifications.
• Train and guide others in roll changes, equipment operation, and material handling.
• Collaborate with team members to maximize efficiency and output.
• Prepare materials for shipment and verify that orders match delivery specifications.
• Safely lift and move materials, either manually or using overhead cranes.
• Follow and promote company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine functionality.
• Conduct routine maintenance and determine when repairs are needed.

• Familiarity with machinery and tools, including their design, use, and maintenance.
• Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry for measurements and conversions.
• Ability to identify various material types such as aluminum, steel, and brass.
• Proficiency in measurement and fraction/decimal conversions.
• Understanding of safe lifting and rigging methods.
