Job Description

The Activity Therapist is a key member of the Behavioral Healthcare department, responsible for developing and implementing an activity therapy program that promotes patient well-being and engagement. This program will incorporate recreational, occupational, and creative therapies to cater to diverse patient needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field and have a minimum of two years of experience in this field. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field or a degree in Music Therapy or Art Therapy with relevant experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to establish a therapeutic relationship with patients, handle verbally and physically abusive patients, and demonstrate emotional maturity. Previous experience working with psychiatric patients is preferred.

KSB Hospital is committed to transparency in pay practices and publishes the range of pay for each position. The offered pay rate will be determined by education, experience, and equity with current team members, with a range of $21.20 to $32.45.
