Job Summary

At Continuum Medical Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and learning needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' needs.
    • Document patient care and progress in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Medication Administration and Management
    • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
    • Monitor patients' responses to medications and treatments.
    • Document medication administration and patient responses.
  • Communication and Education
    • Provide patients and families with education and information about their care.
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Shift Schedule and Flexibility
    • Work flexible shifts, including night shifts, to meet the needs of the surgical department.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a medical-surgical unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
