Job Summary

The Patient Account Representative will play a crucial role in assisting patients and their families in navigating the financial aspects of their healthcare journey. This position will make a positive impact in the lives of others while working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients to resolve financial obligations
  • Analyze and address reasons for overdue payments to ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and implement personalized repayment plans to accommodate patient financial situations
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of collection and account status
  • Process payments and update customer accounts accordingly
  • Ensure seamless operations of collections to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with patients to negotiate payment terms or initiate alternative actions as necessary
  • Identify and engage with patients with delinquent accounts through various channels
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive credit information
  • Proactively contact patients with past-due accounts to resolve outstanding balances
  • Recover delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must possess a solid understanding of relevant subject matter
  • Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
