The Patient Account Representative will play a crucial role in assisting patients and their families in navigating the financial aspects of their healthcare journey. This position will make a positive impact in the lives of others while working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective communication with patients to resolve financial obligations
- Analyze and address reasons for overdue payments to ensure timely resolution
- Develop and implement personalized repayment plans to accommodate patient financial situations
- Manage and maintain accurate records of collection and account status
- Process payments and update customer accounts accordingly
- Ensure seamless operations of collections to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with patients to negotiate payment terms or initiate alternative actions as necessary
- Identify and engage with patients with delinquent accounts through various channels
- Compile and maintain comprehensive credit information
- Proactively contact patients with past-due accounts to resolve outstanding balances
- Recover delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must possess a solid understanding of relevant subject matter
- Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
