Obstetric and Gynecological Specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine:

Bon Secours Mercy Health is actively seeking a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to enhance our expanding Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Women's Health Services.

As part of a collaborative team of MFMs, you will play a crucial role in establishing protocols for both antepartum and intrapartum care, while also educating, supervising, and delivering direct patient care within our Women's Services.

This position offers dedicated time for involvement in practice development, research initiatives, and educational activities.

Our facilities are among the largest providers of Level III obstetrical services, welcoming thousands of newborns annually.

We are looking for an experienced MFM specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team, providing coverage during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The physician will deliver High-Risk Perinatology services both in clinical settings and within the hospital environment. There are ample opportunities for growth within the service line, as well as academic oversight of medical students and Family Medicine/Emergency residents.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility at the time of employment
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Perinatology and OB/GYN
  • Valid licensure in the state of Ohio by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality initiatives as mandated by our operational committees and regulatory bodies.
Our ideal candidates will be board-certified MFM (MD or DO), showcasing clinical excellence, exceptional communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care. Other requirements include a comprehensive skill set in the full spectrum of OB/GYN practices, along with an active Ohio medical license. The position entails a full-time commitment with a minimum of 5-8 hours of clinical duties per week, along with weekend call responsibilities. Support from Advanced Practice Providers is available, and the role involves coverage at a single hospital.
