Role Summary:
Novant Health is in search of a dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Nurse to join our esteemed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. Our unit is equipped with 8 beds, with the capacity to accommodate up to 10 patients, maintaining a staffing ratio typically of 1:1 or 1:2.
The Pediatric Critical Care Nurse plays a pivotal role as a leader within the healthcare team at Novant Health, fostering genuine relationships with patients and their support systems. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans that promote optimal health outcomes or facilitate a dignified end-of-life experience. The nurse employs evidence-based practices and compassion to guide patients through their healthcare journeys.
The Pediatric Critical Care Nurse is accountable for the management and delivery of care in alignment with established policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. If your RN license has been inactive for five years or more, successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivation.
- Experience: Preferred one year of experience in a PICU setting.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory; CCRN, PCCN, or CNRN certifications are preferred.
- Additional Skills: IV skills and APHON certification are preferred.
