Embryologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Embryologist to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility. As an Embryologist, you will play a critical role in our fertility treatment process, working closely with physicians and other medical providers to provide expert care and service for fertility treatments.

• Embryo Handling: Identify, assess, and culture oocytes; sperm preparation and insemination of oocytes
• Embryo Assessment: Assess and select embryos for transfer; embryo vitrification, storage, and warming
• Oocyte Handling: Oocyte vitrification, storage, and warming
• Media Preparation: Prepare all media used with human gametes
• Diagnostic Analysis: Diagnostic semen analysis
• Lab Procedures: Preparation and care of gametes/embryos throughout the laboratory process: IVF, ICSI, VIT, ET, Thaw, and PGD
• Cryopreservation: Cryopreservation and thawing of embryos at varying stages of development
• Quality Control: Assessing fertilization and zygote quality following insemination
• Record Keeping: Records and reports results in Artworks
• Sample Collection: TBSA, PESA, TESA, and TESE collection
• Denuding and ICSI: Oocyte denuding and ICSI insemination
• PGD Biopsy: PGD biopsy
• Embryo Storage: Responsible for embryo discharge and storage
• Regulatory Compliance: Responsible for donor sperm/embryo tracking under FDA regulations

• Education: Must have an appropriate college degree and graduated with a B average or greater in a relevant laboratory science; 3.0 or above overall GPA strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of Embryology Experience
• Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to function effectively without direct supervision, and to perform laboratory services in accord with the Laboratory Philosophy and Operating Standards.
• Computer Skills: Proven ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Office Procedures: Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e., computer, fax, copier, etc.).
• Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Stress Management: Ability to work in a high-standard, stressful environment.
• Communication: Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
