Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Remington & Vernick Engineers. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our environmental inventory mapping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality environmental inventory maps, site plans, permit support graphics, report graphics, and plats
  • Develop customized maps in a timely and effective manner
  • Implement and maintain GIS databases
  • Link datasets, perform data entry and processing
  • Interact with clients to secure and transmit digital information
  • Participate in team-based work and independent projects
  • Verify discipline-related drawings and documents
  • Ensure drawings meet project scope, client specifications, and standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drafting/design/CADD/GIS
  • Knowledge of current Esri ARCGIS and Autodesk AutoCAD software
  • Ability to utilize/import raster and vector data, including digital orthophotos, global positioning data, and geographic information system data
  • Experience in civil design, Cartography, and Geography
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and other related applications
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in data analysis and assist management
Education and Certifications
  • Associate Degree from an accredited 2-year school, minimum
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferred
  • Application certificates recognized by ESRI, a plus
  • GISPs (with exam), a plus
Physical Demands and Working Environment

This role requires frequent and prolonged computer use. May involve occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
