We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team at Community Landscaping. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems for our commercial landscape maintenance properties.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including replacing valves, fan belts, switches, and contacts.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and test irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Turn on and off irrigation systems as designated to meet the needs of our clients.
- Repair and replace hoses, pipes, and various types of sprinkler heads and fixtures.
- Operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers to ensure efficient water usage.
- Replace or repair irrigation valves to maintain system integrity.
- Install or repair irrigation lines to ensure proper water flow.
- Conduct and record detailed inspections of irrigation systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in various maintenance activities as required to support the team.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies to promote workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Use hand and power equipment for landscape and irrigation duties to maintain high-quality results.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to support the team's goals.
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience with the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
- Valid driver's license required with the ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Proficient with conventional and two-wire systems.
- Knowledge of irrigation equipment, including hand and power tools.
- Ability to read irrigation site maps and legends.
- Ability to work for long periods of time outside in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to use hand tools and power equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certifications and licenses needed to perform work in the local market.
