Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands
  • Provide personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help patients care for themselves by teaching the use of canes or walkers, special utensils to eat, special techniques, and equipment for personal hygiene
  • Help family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient, advising on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping
  • Record information by making entries in the patient's journal and notifying the nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions
Requirements
  • Able to create and maintain a safe and effective environment

  • Nursing skills and experience with healthcare administration
