Benihana National Corp is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Prep Cook. This is an entry-level food service position that plays a crucial role in maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Prepare ingredients and food items for cooking, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, working closely with the kitchen team.
  • Perform utility and/or maintenance duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in cooking, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and supplies, as needed.
