Overview
The Registered Nurse in Imaging Services is accountable for assessing and addressing actual or potential health issues while delivering essential emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the nursing process. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of patient care tailored to the age and specific needs of the individuals served.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and discharge requirements based on their age and developmental stage.
2. Employ effective communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring thoroughness and precision in documentation.
3. Exhibit proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of medical equipment and procedures related to patient care.
4. Review and adjust the care plan as necessary, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the patient.
5. Formulate and execute individualized care plans for each patient.
6. Identify and respond appropriately to unsafe or life-threatening conditions.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut is mandatory.
- Certification in CPR from AHA or an equivalent within three months of employment is required.
