Job Description:

  • Work in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization labs.
  • Perform Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, and Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Conduct Left and Right heart
Execute Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA).
  • Perform Rotablader atherectomy and Scrub Procedures.
  • Set up equipment and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, including Isolation Precautions and Sterile Technique.
  • Provide care for Middle and Older Adult age groups.
  • Availability to work 2-3 weekends per contract.
  • Be on call as required.
  • Compliance with facility rules about floating within the scope to meet needs.
  • Orientation required, with module completion virtually on the first day.
Non-billable up to 16 hours. Candidates should be prepared to work during major holidays as specified and discuss specific schedule requests with the manager. Ensure arrival 3 business days prior to compliance for fingerprinting requirements. Must comply with required vaccines. Note that acceptance criteria apply to first-time applicants and local candidates.

Springfield Memorial Hospital seeks a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our team in a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and hold an active license to practice. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS are also required. Cerner experience is a must-have for this position.
