Structural Steel Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Erector to join our team at Trident Steel LLC. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in the assembly and installation of structural steel frameworks for luxury homes and other structures.

1. Blueprint Interpretation: Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to understand the layout and dimensions of steel structures.

2. Work Area Preparation: Assist in preparing work areas by clearing debris, setting up safety equipment, and ensuring proper access for equipment and materials.

3. Steel Structure Assembly: Utilize hand and power tools to assemble steel beams, columns, and other structural components according to project plans and specifications.

4. Component Installation: Lift and position steel components into place, ensuring proper alignment and connection using bolts, welds, or other fastening methods.

5. Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment such as lulls, hoists, and material lifters to lift and maneuver heavy steel components into position.

6. Welding: Perform welding tasks as necessary to join steel components together securely, following welding procedures and safety guidelines.

7. Quality Control: Inspect finished structures to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with building codes and specifications.

8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs.

9. Communication: Maintain open communication with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.

10. Project Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, materials used, and any deviations from the original plan.

1. Experience: Previous experience in structural steel erection or a related field is preferred.

2. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and standing for extended periods.

3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand and power tools commonly used in steel erection.

4. Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

5. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.

6. Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as welding certifications or OSHA safety training, may be advantageous.

7. Reliability: Dependability and punctuality are essential for meeting project deadlines and maintaining a productive work environment.
