We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer II to join our Accessories Business Unit at Milwaukee Tool. As a key member of our cross-functional project teams, you will be responsible for leading design engineering efforts and providing technical expertise to drive innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design Engineering Leadership: Act as the lead design engineer and technical resource within cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and expertise to ensure successful product development.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Utilize a range of engineering tools and techniques, including 3D modeling, manufacturing processes, materials science, and statistical analysis, to solve complex engineering problems.
- Test Planning and Execution: Establish test regimens for products and deliver complete data analysis to support design recommendations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Provide clear engineering information to project leaders, global engineering teams, and engineering management, and prepare and present large mechanical engineering milestone reviews.
- Supplier Qualification and Management: Help qualify new suppliers and interact with existing suppliers, quality, and manufacturing teams to develop new products and processes.
- Project Management: Plan and prioritize technical project tasks, manage cross-functional team members' contributions, and drive project progress.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Typically 2-3 years of experience in a New Product Development or equivalent role.
- Skills: Proficient at 3D modeling and drafting, working knowledge of FEA, ANSYS, and statistical analysis software, Minitab.
- Personal Qualities: Highly motivated self-starter with a never-satisfied, always-improving attitude, agile and able to work in an ever-changing environment.
