Job SummaryThe Nursing Support Level II position, under direction of nursing staff, will provide for the personal needs of residents in a long-term care facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide restorative care for residents and promote the highest quality of life
- Assist with duties that include but are not limited to, feeding, bathing, toileting, dressing, moving patients and changing linens
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification with over one (1) year of experience
- Experience working in a long-term care facility or nursing home
- CRP certified
Work is performed in a long-term care facility and office setting with exposure to visual/video display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
Walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, sitting and bending over are routine physical efforts required by the job.
The ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and the use of various types of medical equipment, computers and manual documentation.
Incumbent may be required to drive a State-owned vehicle.
Incumbent may be exposed to physical and verbal abuse from residents, moderate noise levels and stressful situations.
Health hazards include routine exposure to resident illness blood and bodily fluids.
Potential for chemical sensitivity exist related to repeated use of latex gloves, disinfectant agents, wound dressing medications or chemicals.
