Mechanic - Industrial Repair Specialist

Job SummaryThe Mechanic will be responsible for completing all repairs, preventative maintenance, programmed repairs, and facility repairs to ensure compliance with equipment and facility reliability and standards. This position is primarily based in the shop (80% shop, 20% field) and will focus on preventative maintenance and repair of medium-duty trucks, directional drills, and small construction equipment.
Essential Job Accountabilities- General mechanical knowledge, including pumps, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Basic welding knowledge and experience.
- Good assembly skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Experience with work order execution.
- Possesses own basic tools.
- Experience with safety training.
- Facility repair experience.
- Diagnosing and managing employee projects.
- Scheduling repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Problem-solving and root cause diagnosis.
- Communicating effectively and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
- Experience with heavy truck repair, including vac truck and boiler/steam truck maintenance (preferred).
- Working afternoon shifts and overtime as needed.
- Specific focus on preventative maintenance and repair of medium-duty trucks, directional drills, and small construction equipment.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial mechanical repairs.
- Heavy truck repair experience is essential.
- Preventative maintenance system experience is required.
- Must successfully pass a drug test, as well as driver's license check for past 2 years without any suspensions or major traffic violations.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and haul up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel is required, as much as 90% if needed.
- Must be able to effectively work in confined spaces.
- Be a team player.
- Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
- Must possess basic hand tools.
- Ability to work in both closed and open environments.
- Class C driver's license.
