Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse with daily documentation and charting of medical and administrative information in compliance with current regulations.
- Ensure accurate recording of medical and administrative data following established policies and procedures.
- Maintain and submit the Daily Census Report to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
- Manage communication by answering phone calls and delivering messages to residents as needed.
- Document resident identification information on medical records, wristbands, and ID cards as required.
- Inform the resident's designated contact of any changes in their condition as instructed.
- Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents, including transportation arrangements and packing personal belongings.
- Assist in completing necessary medical and administrative documentation during admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Contribute to innovative healthcare solutions by developing and implementing new ideas that enhance systems and processes for improved outcomes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role is necessary.
- A valid VA License as an LPN or RN is required.
- The ideal candidate will be compassionate, qualified, and committed to excellence in their work.
