Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated graduate nurses to join our team at UPMC Hamot. As a Professional Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient care and treatment, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and treatment, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Monitor patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) certification within six months of hire.
- Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
